Unraveling the Comfort: The Story Behind Our Unique French Terry Fabric

Unraveling the Comfort: The Story Behind Our Unique French Terry Fabric

At Colorful Bunch, we believe that every fabric tells a story. In the heart of our children's wear collection is French Terry, a fabric that embodies not just comfort and quality but also a deep commitment to conscious living and local sourcing. Our French Terry is more than just any fabric; it’s a symbol of our care for the planet and the little ones who inherit it.

French Terry has a heritage rich with craftsmanship and innovation. Originating in France centuries ago, it began as a handwoven fabric for toweling and evolved into the beloved knitted material we use today. With loops on one side and a smooth finish on the other, our French Terry combines a cozy feel with practical durability. We've chosen a fabric weight of 6 oz/square yard, ensuring that it's light enough for play yet warm enough for cooler days.

The story of our French Terry is rooted in a journey that begins right here in the USA. The organic cotton used is grown on American soil, adhering to strict environmental and ethical standards. This locally grown cotton is then skillfully milled into French Terry, maintaining a supply chain that is as transparent as it is short.

In transforming this cotton into our signature fabric, traditional knitting techniques meet modern sustainability. This process not only results in a fabric that’s soft, breathable, and moisture-absorbent but also upholds our commitment to reducing environmental impact at every production stage.

Our dedication to responsible fashion is evident in every garment we create. We believe in the importance of ethical practices and sustainable materials, ensuring that each item reflects our dedication to quality, the environment, and the wellbeing of our community.

Our French Terry collection offers two unique options: a natural undyed version, which showcases the raw beauty and purity of organic cotton, and a garment-dyed black version, dyed in an environmentally conscious process near our San Francisco headquarters. Both options are a testament to our commitment to eco-friendly practices.

To care for these garments, we recommend a gentle approach: washing in cold water and tumble drying on low. This not only helps preserve the fabric’s quality and longevity but also aligns with our goal to minimize environmental impact.

Choosing French Terry for our Colorful Bunch collection is a conscious decision to blend style, comfort, and responsibility. It's a fabric choice that resonates with our brand ethos, offering parents and children clothing that's not only beautiful and comfortable but also kind and considerate to our planet.

Our French Terry is more than a fabric – it's a reflection of our passion for thoughtful, sustainable fashion. Each piece we create is a blend of comfort, quality, and a commitment to ethical and eco-friendly practices.

Discover the unique charm of our French Terry collection. We welcome your thoughts and inquiries about our sustainable fashion journey, as we continue to strive for a better and brighter future in children's fashion.
