New fabric arrived this week: denim, and a roll of lemon-print twill designed by our friend Jenny. We're planning wide-leg pants with a few different patch pocket styles, all in 100% American-grown cotton. It's exciting to have the fabric here and start thinking about what those combinations will look like as actual pants.
We've also been spending time on the store's Valentine's Day decorations with Daisy. Her illustrations bring up sweet memories of Meyer and Imogen for us. Seeing those memories take another form has made this part of getting the shop ready feel especially personal.
Alongside all of that, we've been learning about early Indigenous Mexican culture as we think about the knitwear collection. It's new territory for us, and there's a lot we still have to learn. Our Kniterate machine should be arriving soon, so yarns and patterns have been taking up quite a bit of our attention, too.
A lot of ideas at once, which is probably why this week has felt like such a whirlwind. For now, we're glad to have the fabric in front of us and a few things starting to take shape.
